Anda Latest Updates

On June 4, 2025, at the Hangzhou International Expo Center - the EAC2025 Yimao Automotive Industry Conference and Exhibition grandly opened. At the highly anticipated "New Energy Vehicle Quality Control Forum", Mr. Wu Peng, an expert from Anda (Shanghai) Safety Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled "Ensuring Intelligent Vehicle System Safety in the AI Era". Focusing on three core areas - functional safety, SOTIF, and cybersecurity - the speech provided an in-depth analysis of intelligent vehicle safety system construction pathways and offered practical solutions for high-quality industry development.

Speech Highlights

Functional Safety (ISO 26262): From "Failure Response" to "Safety Closed Loop"

Mr. Wu pointed out that with the exponential growth in complexity of automotive E/E systems, systematic failures and random hardware failures have become core safety challenges. The ISO 26262 standard ensures systems can enter a safe state during failures through Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), safety mechanism design (such as ASIL classification), and full-process verification (from concept to hardware testing).

Cybersecurity (ISO 21434): Defenses Against "Digital Intrusion"

Addressing threats to intelligent vehicles like wireless attacks and CAN bus paralysis, Mr. Wu used real cases such as malicious interference with radio systems and remote control of braking systems to emphasize the urgency of establishing cybersecurity management systems.

SOTIF (ISO 21448): The Safety Puzzle Piece for "AI Blind Spots"

"Intelligent driving isn't about 'zero risk' but managing 'acceptable risk'," Mr. Wu emphasized. ISO 21448 focuses on "unintended failures" caused by AI algorithm limitations and insufficient environmental perception, such as camera misjudgment under strong light or lane marking recognition failure during heavy rain. Through the SOTIF process (hazard identification → functional insufficiency analysis → test verification), known scenario misuse and unknown scenario risks can be systematically reduced.

System Integration: From "Single-Point Compliance" to "Comprehensive Safety"

Mr. Wu stressed that these systems don't exist independently: ASPICE provides assurance, functional safety serves as the foundation, cybersecurity forms the data defense line, while SOTIF compensates for AI shortcomings. Anda Global's "Multi-System Integrated Development Model" can better help customers achieve process integration and toolchain connectivity, improving the quality of new energy vehicles and core components, and assisting the industry in embarking on a new journey of high-quality sustainable development.
